Plugin Description
Because Links SQL has already extracted its files and setup the paths within them, there is a lot of manual work to both preserve your changes and customizations, and to make them work on the new server.
This takes an average 3-4 hours, especially without root or SSH/telnet access as so many accounts now adays do not have.
Because of this, re-installs are quite a lot more expensive than a basic install, and can take a lot of time.
If you need your copy re-installed on a new server, we can usually do it quickly, but it is more expensive in time and effort. There is a $25 non-refundable fee for attempting the transfer whether we can complete it or not.
Reinstallation/Transfer service includes;
- Database transfer
- Transfer of your existing Links SQL set up -- plugins, templates, etc.
- Re-configuring Links SQL on your new domain/server.
- Bug swats directly related to the transfer for up to 10 days from reinstall. "Fixes" or code changes will be billed at regular rates.
Additional costs may be incurred if there are problems obtaining access to either the old or new server (DNS issues, permissions, ISP problems, etc). These costs [problems] cannot be known until the transfer is attempted. If we cannot effect the transfer for the $75 fee, we will let you know estimated additional costs. If you decide to not go with the additional costs, we'll refund $50 of your initial $75 fee.
