SEO Friendly Can't Post

Hi,

Please forgive me if this is obvious to all but me. I am new to this.

I have just installed the news plugin and am wondering if there is a way to make it more SEO friendly? The two areas I refer to at the moment are:

is there any way to change the link from the sample from [ more ] to a more friendly clip?

is there any way of getting the URL's to be more SEO friendly - news.cgi?a=article&ID=1157358540 to somethingh like test-article-expose.html or something? I assume mod_rewrite, but I don't know how to write it :(

My theory is, that i will invite paid link members of my directory (http://www.absolutedirectory.com) (you can see where I have been mucking about with the news plugin here http://www.absolutedirectory.com/New/) to submit an article on their site which will be linked to from the main site pages, thus giving them more of a PR boost and more coverage for their money. It's just a theory atm, but thought i would test it out as the news plugin was such an affordable price! :-)

Thanks for any help you can give a newb.

Jez.

Re: [jez] SEO Friendly [In reply to] Can't Post

I spoke with him on the 30th and there was no mention of a holiday. He was working on a problem for me and we were sending emails back and forth. Then all of a sudden he didnt respond anymore.

However, I think the orders from the site are manually processed. If so, that means someone is around.
